I am getting old. Thought would throw question out since now have "Music of Your Life" and several other network radio programs that play that great popular music of 50s 60s 70s. The type performers Al Martino, John Gary , Frank Sinatra, and Matt Monro. My memory is that Dolly Holiday played the music on old WCKY (50,000 watts), now extant. It promoted Holiday Inn with short commericials. From WCKY their motel in Covington, KY was mentioned a lot. It was great music. The station introduced me to crossover country, such as Jack Greene, Jim Ed Brown, and Eddy Arnold. I think it laid the roots for my later becoming a big fan of country music, Hank Snow, Willie Nelson. She was the classic very good d.j., not a lot of talking, but pleasant. Saw a Holiday Inn record for sale once at Sears. Any persons, older like me, with memories of program mainly in 1960s? It was not live of course, tape; as I would say most of nostalgia radio music programs are today. The fantastic response is deeply appreciated. It completely connects with my remembrances. I should have said WCKY was Cincinnati, Ohio. Memphis is also home base for Holiday.
